Another Hybrid

Just another hybrid of humans, animals, images and dances.

Another hybrid is a collection of three different showings that were a part of the solo work course of my master's degree in Dance Performance at Uniarts Helsinki's Theater Academy in the fall of 2017. 

 

In this performance series I was researching on different types of hybrids, layering and creating performative collages from fragmented and borrowed materials. My aim was to develop my performance skills in musicality and expression. I practiced creative interaction with gym balls, face dancing, did medleys of Prince's songs and created music with loop pad applications on my smart phone, among other things.
